On April 1, the National Bureau of Bulgarian Motor Insurers marks nearly a quarter century since its establishment as an institution with a key role in ensuring stability, security, and trust in the motor insurance system in Bulgaria.

As the national bureau within the Green Card System and a member of the Council of Bureaux, NBBMI has, since its establishment, provided effective protection to victims of cross-border road traffic accidents and contributed to the free movement of persons and vehicles.

In accordance with the requirements of European legislation in the field of compulsory motor third party liability insurance, the Bureau also acts as the Compensation Body and Information Centre for Bulgaria.

Over the years, NBBMI has established itself as a reliable partner in international cooperation and as a guarantor for the implementation of European standards in the field of compulsory motor insurance.

With appreciation for what has been achieved and confidence in the future, NBBMI continues to work towards protecting the interests of injured parties and ensuring the stable functioning of the system.
